Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: The job holder is responsible for managing the Fixed Assets Management function including fixed assets accounting and inventory control in line with accounting policies and procedures ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Contribute to the development of Accounting business plan ensuring alignment with ZATCA strategy Develop the operational plan for Fixed Assets Management in line with Accounting business plan and Finance and Administration strategic plan Implement plans and provide input to enable achievement of Fixed Assets Management goals that support ZATCA’s overall strategic plans Discuss Fixed Assets Management budgeting requirements with top management and provide input to the budgeting process Ensure effective utilization of Fixed Assets Management budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered Investigate and propose implementing initiatives that result in positive financial impact for Fixed Assets Management and mitigates financial and operational risks Manage the development of policies, procedures, and controls to secure efficient and physical verification review process of fixed assets Ensure the periodical and accurate update of fixed asset register and accounting information related to the acquisition and disposal (including transfers and retirement), depreciation, accumulated depreciation, and revaluations of fixed assets Ensure that conditions of potential impairment of fixed assets are identified, and monitor the annual impairment review process Ensure that required support is provided to the Financial Planning and Budgeting function by assessing and tracking fixed assets’ expenditures in comparison with the overall annual budget and submit reports highlighting variances Identify asset retirement obligations and monitor the annual useful life review process Manage the financial review of assets disposal, and submit summary reports to relevant stakeholders Develop/ update inventory control policies, procedures and controls based on existing gaps and leading practices Manage the development of annual inventory plan based on stock turn rate and forecasted demand Manage inventory movement, usage, storage securing/ tracking ensuring alignment with policies and procedures Manage yearly inventory physical count, solve discrepancies, and enforce corrective actions to avoid recurrence Manage the physical assets register (counting, tagging and coding) and ensure the update of records to safeguard and preserve ZATCA’s possessions Submit timely and accurate summary reports to relevant stakeholders Participate in the identification and recruitment of key talent Guide, mentor and support direct reports in order to execute duties according to set policies and processes Develop individual performance objectives, provide necessary support, evaluate/appraise team and provide regular feedback on performance Establish a high-performance working environment and promote ZATCA values JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS : 6 years of relevant experience, with a preferred 3 years of experience in managerial level Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent is required
