- Planning and budgeting for all GIS activities.
- Overall management of personnel assigned to GIS Teams.
- Monitoring the performance of all GIS Team members.
- Making periodic reports to management on GIS activities.
- Evaluating technological advances and promoting usage of appropriate technology and applications among various end-users.
- Ensuring the quality of GIS products and services.
- Investigating and proposing future GIS Team activities.
- Hiring and training the GIS Team staff.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
Work Experience:
8-10 years of progressive experience in a GIS environment using Esri technology
Extensive experience, working with Esri’s ArcGIS suite and its’ different types of architectures
2 or more years of experience in a leadership role with current technologies.
Professional Skills:
Creativity and troubleshooting aptitude
Attention to details
Substantial understanding and experience using and manipulating RDBMS
Strong Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Agile Methodologies / Scrum
Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud
Knowledge of IT security concepts and implementation patterns within Esri technology
Experience in large GIS projects
Ability to work on multiple projects/tasks concurrently.
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships and be teamwork oriented.
