Note: This is for one of our clients, not avua directlyYou will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our power grid. This role involves real-time monitoring, analysis, and control of the transmission and distribution systems to maintain grid stability and respond to contingencies effectively.Responsibilities:Monitor the real-time performance of the power grid using SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.Analyze data from various sources to ensure grid parameters remain within acceptable limits.Implement control measures to maintain grid stability during normal and abnormal operating conditions.Identify and address factors that may impact grid frequency, voltage, and overall stability.Develop and execute contingency plans to respond to emergencies, equipment failures, or other unforeseen events.Coordinate with field teams to implement corrective actions promptly.Implement strategies to optimize the utilization of transmission and distribution assets.Collaborate with planning and engineering teams to identify areas for system improvement.Analyze fault data and disturbances within the power grid.Implement corrective actions and recommend system enhancements to prevent recurring issues.Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Proven experience in grid operations, preferably in a control room environment.Familiarity with SCADA systems and grid management tools.Strong understanding of power system dynamics, grid stability, and emergency response procedures.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and coordination abilities.Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and make informed decisions quickly.Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards in the power sector.
