Job Description
An MEP engineer works with a project management team, reports to a project director and has the following primary duties:
- Managing multiple MEP projects
- Ensuring there are minimal problems from the design to the delivery stage
- Using project management software, AutoCAD and word processing programs to create MEP plans
- Preparing cost estimates for electrical, plumbing, air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems
- Overseeing the work of the project management team and ensuring adherence to the project schedule
- Coordinating on-site work with architects, structural engineers and electrical engineers
- Providing MEP system installation, maintenance and technical advice to service providers, supervisors and inspectors
- Inspecting, analysing and finding solutions for engineering issues related to the MEP features
- Reviewing and evaluating the work of contractors, consultants and other construction industry professionals
- Reviewing contractor drawings and installation method statements to ensure they comply with the MEP design plan
- Making technical clarifications to resolve coordination issues and design modifications to suit specific on-site construction requirements
- Monitoring and maintaining on-site health and safety policies and explaining the necessity of complying with these to the crew
- Undertaking off-site inspections of MEP equipment and materials to ensure compliance with regulations and project suitability
Job Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role
- Collaborate and communicate asynchronously

- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Site Reliability Engineer
