Job Description
- Develop and maintain project plans for localization initiatives, including timelines and resource allocation, considering client requirements and project scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and clients to gather project specifications, clarify objectives, and identify project constraints and risks.
- Analyze project requirements and estimate the necessary resources, including linguists, tools, and technology, to ensure successful project execution.
- Coordinate and schedule linguistic resources, ensuring their availability and suitability for specific localization projects.
- Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely delivery of localized content, managing project schedules and tracking progress.
- Monitor project budgets and costs, addressing any discrepancies or overruns, and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and coordinate linguistic reviews to ensure the accuracy and linguistic quality of localized content.
- Utilize project management software and tools to track and manage project progress, maintain project documentation, and generate reports.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Translation, Business or related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in Localization Project Management.
- Have strong planning and organizational skills
- Be knowledgeable about languages and localization.
- Be familiar with CAT tools is a bonus.
- Effectively communicate with internal teams, freelance linguists, in an open and constructive way
- Independent and self-directed
